A British medical study showed that men and women who work more than 11 hours a day are 67 percent more likely to develop heart disease than those who breeze out the door after 7 or 8 hours on the clock. The study, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine journal, followed nearly 7,100 British workers, who did not have any heart problems at the beginning of the study, for a period of 11 years. During the study, 192 participants suffered heart attacks, and by the end of the study, the data revealed the link between work hours and heart problems.
